Hello everyone,
From early childhood I was priviledged to be surrounded by the paintings of what to me are the most amazing colorists in history: the impressionists. I was amazed at how they created mood, drama and intensity by optimizing the effect the implemented colors had on each other. My greatgrandfather, Joan Prats, owned many Joan Miró paintings, and I would spend hours gazing at his early masterpiece «portrait of a young girl» which he donated to the Miró Foundation in Barcelona, where you can still admire her intense and disturbed stare.
So it should come as no surprise that I focused my whole life to art. Color especifically. I began my art career in Chile, where I attained my fine Arts masters’ degree in the Pontificia Universidad Católica. Years later, I concluded my learning in Barcelona, earning a four-year Masters’ degree in Illustration, Digital Color and Graphic Design at the top school in Barcelona, the Escola Joso art school, where I currently teach post grads.
Through the years I’ve contributed with illustration, digital color and corporate design, both in Spain and internationally. I have also collaborated with digital coloring for comic publishing houses such as Idees Plus, Dark Horse and Hexagon Comics, as well as digital color projects with Spanish Comic artists like Mike Ratera.
Currently, I’m also working on the translating into english the fantasy trilogy: THE SHADOW OF THE RED CROW, who’s author is Cris Ortega, an amazing artist I greatly admire.
